This music video known as Teenage dream.
The photo of her as a close up shot shows the audience her impressions and
emotions and also she’s laying on the bed of candy floss naked may suggest the
audience that she’s going back to her childhood and it’s in the pink color that
might indicates the pop genre as most of the girls artists pop music videos
they have used a lot of pink or even to give a touch of pink color. Also as
she’s looking directly into the camera it might shows her audience that she’s
speaking directly to them and she’s looking very compassionate and emotional
that look might convince the audience to buy her video digipack.
On the back of color the all the text is
showing thee songs of the albums that are included in the CD, the font in red showing all the
information about the CD including songs and the blue bit showing what is
contained within the DVD. And also at the end of the cover there is information
about the artist and the recording studio such as it shows when it was recorded
and the copyright including the date. Then the red color is really standing out
as the background is in light color and it might shows love as well and the
font in blue is also standing out the light pink background as its dark and
contrasting really well with other colors.
The video digipack also has a spine that
contain the name of the album and the artist itself so if a person wants to
purchase but not sure who the artists of what the name is then they can easily
have a look at the spine to see.
There is also a barcode which will help the
seller to scan the price of the digipack, as well as is very important to have
one so it looks professional and decent.
In the front cover it shows the main image
of the artist. And the main image relates to the theme of the video as she’s
laying on the candy floss with the sky blue definitely might give an idea to
the that she might as well dreaming about her childhood love as the video
called teenage dream and the setup and the colors that have been used also
relates to the main video and songs also the front cover doesn’t have any name
of the artist or the name of the album that looks very simple to the audience
however it still looks unique and professional.
There is a CD which has a design of like
carnival theme and it also looks like a sweet that might engage the younger
audience especially the girls. And they have designed it in a round shape that
goes very well with the shape of the CD and the audience might think that Katy
Perry might fancy sweets as there a lot to talk about sweetness.
The fact that I like about this digipack is
the colors they have used and the theme for sure as by looking at artist and
how she has positioned in her images shows that she is dreaming and the theme
definitely relates to the songs which is a good thing.
The fact I don’t like about this video is
that as there is nothing written on the front cover might makes the whole cover
a bit down as the front cove r will be the first thing to look at for the
audience and if there is nothing written then they wouldn’t know what is it
about or might found it boring. So these I will make a note and making sure
that I make my digipack very unique but simple.
